It has been months since the new Mozilla Firefox 3 version came out of the shelves. I was awed when I first run it — it was so fast — and prior to the release of Internet Explorer Beta 2, Microsoft’s and other company’s web browsers were out of my mind. However, I noticed significantly now that Mozilla Firefox 3 is getting slower each day I use it — and I still use it each day. So, tell me — where is the speed it once boasted? It’s gone, and it’s a shame.

I just had a quick search today about "Top Hosting Center" (known as THC) on Google to know the latest buzzes about the web host I am with. I’m currently using their Speedy hosting plan and so far I got excellent performance to this blog perhaps of the enhanced SEO effect of the dedicated IP address that it came free with. The results on Google search towards THC are mostly positive, except one thing — there was an emphasizing post written by Aahz, a current customer of Top Hosting Center, with his blog website Philaahzophy.com that was stumbled purposively on StumbleUpon.com. I am not sure if he meant to write it to tell the truth, or he could have written it just for traffic’s sake. I’m a happy THC customer, and based on my hosting experience, I could say this blogger is shooting blanks to the best web hosting company I could ever find nowadays — and guess what — I’m not alone!

The sentence above is Host Color’s message and it is just the first thing, that distinguish this web host from all others I’ve ever seen. If you want your hosting company to be different from others you need Host Color. You have to visit this web host even to get some ideas how to organize a web business. Most hosting companies around place on their front page one the following 3 things: a computer (server), a cheery girl or just a cheeky offering which usually says "You get 750 GB space and 7500 GB bandwidth". If you expect your host to look like this, just forget about Host Color.

It’s been just days since Microsoft released the second preview version of its flagship web browser that shocked me in disbelief, turning my negative expectations on Internet Explorer down. Now, we heard that Google just released its own browser dubbed as Chrome. For Google and its followers, it sounds like an exciting, business tool; for other browser developers, it’s less than a threat; for web developers like me, while it performs good, it’s also another piece of crap.

Don’t have Adobe Audition or Sony Sound Forge? Well, that’s not a problem at all. Audacity, a free, opensource sound editor software offers you a fully functional and complete suite of sound editing tools that will definitely fit your needs. With it, you can work like a professional. Although it lacks the strength of commercial sound editors, it doesn’t fall behind the line. Its recording and editing capabilities are still top notch and it is cross-platform, which is not the usual thing for commercial sound editors which are mostly tailored for Windows platform. Besides Microsoft Windows operating systems, it can also run from Mac OS X, GNU/Linux variants, and other operating systems — which I think, is great (despite being a long-time avid Windows user).

Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 deserves the spotlight. I strongly confirm that without any doubt now.
One day after Microsoft released IE 8 Beta 2, and after scratching the features, stability and reliability of the new Internet Explorer for 24 hours, it is clear that the Microsoft IE8 Beta 2 is an eye-opener for Microsoft and Internet Explorer pessimists like me. I’m pretty sure hardcore Firefox fans would not (or just hesitant) to believe this, but give Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 a try and you would believe how great this browser would be when its full version will be released — especially to web developers and Internet-savvy persons like me.

Thank heavens! Did Microsoft finally address all our complaints with their flagship web browser? Something great just happened to me today when I updated my Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 to Beta 2, the second preview version of the upcoming major release of the world’s most popular web browser. I’ve already known for a fact that Internet Explorer 8 is now more standards compliant than its predecessors, but I wasn’t awed with the performance of IE 8 Beta 1. Today’s release of IE 8 Beta 2, many things have changed — it came with new features, new speed, new look — and it made me forget Firefox for the moment.

I just wrote about mobile broadband in the past few days and now it’s here again. My Internet Service Provider (ISP) Smart Telecoms with their “high speed wireless broadband package” popularly known as SmartBro — is getting the hell out of me. Their wireless Internet service in our area has been so unstable and frequently cuts off in good timing when you really need to be connected to the Internet to do work, talk to your boss or call friends on Skype. If you are planning to become a web developer freelancer or wanting to be an Internet savvy like me who’s based here in the Philippines (for now), I could easily say with pride that SmartBro Wireless Broadband is definitely not a good package for you! Well, unless of course you don’t have any other choice like me.
