Breaking The Monotony At World of Fun

world-of-funEvery day is a working day for me including weekends and holidays. It is good in one way because I’m very productive of spending a lot of time with work. However, part of me is also screaming that I need to pause sometimes and break the ice of constant work — the intensity of pressure being alone gets stronger especially when you feel like your heart is thrown to a far off place to your dearest someone.  So what I did was that on January 30, during my pay/bills day, I went to SM City Mall of Davao, dragged my 2 female cousins with me and my brother, and they helped me break the monotony in the World of Fun.

The New Year Reunion At Costa Marina – Part One

Published by johnraul under Travel and Tours

samalisland For someone living in a tropical country like me in the Philippines, it seems weird for North Americans or European people to understand that I’ve never been to a beach for over five years. Now, if that surprised them, my local friends are more shocked when they learned that I’ve never been to the Island Garden City of Samal for the 21 years of my life. Like what we do annually every December 25th, this year the Christmas Eve reunion I had with my family and relatives in Ma-a, Davao City, was a bit good because on 25th we went to a local tourist spot called Davao Crocodile Park. The park is not really a new place in the city and I’ve seen it featured many times on local television. However, I must confess that it was my first time to enter that park and seeing the place in person is very wonderful. It was my first time to witness as well some tropical animals that I couldn’t find in my backyard. You can say how exciting the tour was by reading this post and watching the pictures.

The Pay, The Internet Bills, And The Aircon

Published by johnraul under Little Moments

The sixth day of the month is both good and sad day (more biased to good side though) because it’s my fixed pay day schedule as well as the time to pay my bills. I go once in a month in the Davao City (Philippines) and head usually to SM City Mall to get my pay sent by employer from Montreal, Canada to my local bank, BDO Universal Bank. My employer sends the money through Xoom, which have been consistently an excellent money transfer company for me. It’s the only day in a month where I am temporarily disconnected from the Internet world and go back to the real world while I’m still here in Davao City.
